Worthing Pavilion reached the Semi Final of the National Indoor Fantastic 5's Championship with a 5 - 3 win over Victory from Portsmouth on Saturday. Rob Taylor got Pavilion off to the perfect start winning the singles 19 - 4 and the Four of Sharon Pratt, Sue Gubbins, John Frew and Mark Strong drew 9 - 9 to give Pavilion a 3 - 1 lead at the half way point. The triple of Sue Gubbins, Rob Taylor and John Frew then won 15 - 4 to claim the victory and send Pavilion into the Semi Finals.      The WPBC ladies played their home C&M league fixture against Middleton. We overall 46 to 29 and picked up all 6 points. The rink of Pat Edmonds, Sharon Pratt, Sue Gubbins and Carol Artley won 23 - 18 and Julie Woods, Pat Cripps, Jacky Pearson and Marlene Hancock won 23 - 11.      On one of the hottest days of the year the WPBC ladies played a friendly triples at The Drive losing by 1 shot 60 - 61. We had 2 winning rinks - Sylvia Faithfull, Rosemary Lewer and Pat Cripps 18 - 11 and Doreen Merrett, Zoe Wright and Sharon Pratt 16 - 14.     On Friday WPBC entertained bowlers from Oxshott in a friendly, All set to play outside with 7 rinks when the rain started. After some bit of rearranging(thanks to 3 WPBC players from both sides dropping out) the game was played indoors.The result was WPBC winning on all 6 rinks with a score of 148 to rink for WPBC was 4 Bryan Bodicoat, Gerry Shallis, Jacky Pearson, Paul Wilson score 33-6.Even though Oxshott lost everyone enjoyed the day.

Our Bowling Club offers a friendly atmosphere, good food with indoor  rinks and some of the best outdoor lawn bowling greens

Worthing Pavilion Bowling Club welcomes new members so come and try bowls. We provide flat -green bowls both indoors and outdoors. If you have never bowled or want to develop your bowling skills further we have 4 level 1,7 level 2 and 2 level 3 Bowls England approved coaches to assist you. We welcome all: the young, the not so young. Come and see our facilities meet the friendly members and join the club. We have a well-stocked bar and very good catering & Bar facility  join us  and sample the friendly atmosphere in our comfortable club house situated in a pleasant oasis of green close to the town centre. Worthing Pavilion Bowling Club is open all year except for Christmas Holidays and New Year’s Day.
